Nurses Improving the Care of Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) started in 1992, NICHE is the only national geriatric nurse-led iprogram comprising more than 300 hospitals located throughout the United States.
NICHE provides evidence-based principles and tools to implement change in the culture of healthcare facilities and focus on patient-centered care for older adults. NICHE is a resource for training hospital staff, supporting the team to provide care and providing tools to sustain geriatric programs.
Our goal is to have interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in the treatment of older adult patient leading to improved clinical outcomes, team and patient satisfaction.
