Our Practice
The Women’s Center at Alexander Park offers leading-edge care for women of all ages in an intimate, relaxed and nurturing environment.
Our multidisciplinary team includes board-certified physicians who train residents from Rochester General Hospital and specialize in urinary incontinence, pelvic floor disorders, robotic and other minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, and hysteroscopy. We provide comprehensive routine obstetrical care, as well as routine and well-woman gynecological services. And we collaborate with a fellowship-trained obstetrician for high-risk pregnancies, antenatal testing, and obstetrical ultrasound.
An on-site financial specialist can assist patients with insurance coverage.

Insurance
We accept most insurance plans, although some require a referral when making an appointment. Referrals may be obtained from your primary care physician. Fees are on a sliding scale based
on financial need.
Our Providers
Earlando Thomas, MD
Lead physician
A board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Earlando Thomas has special interests in urogynecology, advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgery, and resident teaching.
He earned his medical degree at the University of the West Indies, received residency and urogynecological training in Ob/Gyn in the United Kingdom, and completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at Rochester General Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Urogynecology Society, and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Rochester. He enjoys going on medical missions, soccer, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Tara Gellasch, MD
Dr. Tara Gellasch grew up in Webster and moved back to the Rochester area after a 16-year absence, nostalgic for the four seasons of upstate New York and the activities each one allows.
A board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Gellasch earned her medical degree at McGill University and completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at Emory University. Previously in private practice in Norfolk, Va., she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Special interests include routine and high-risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, family planning, minimally invasive surgery, in-office hysteroscopy such as Essure and NovaSure, gynecological surgery, menstrual irregularities, and menopausal management.
Dr. Gellasch enjoys running, hiking, local parks, and spending time with her husband and three young children.
Kimberly Bielewicz, FNP
Kimberly Bielewicz began her nursing career at Rochester General Hospital in the obstetrics and gynecology unit, spending 11 years there while furthering her education. After becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked part-time in a private family practice and then joined The Women’s Center at Alexander Park in 2007.
Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Ms. Bielewicz received her medical education and training at Syracuse University and St. John Fisher College. Her clinical interests are in routine and adolescent gynecology.
She enjoys the outdoors, photography, and spending time with her husband and new baby.
Lowry Simpson, CNM
Born and raised in Jamaica, Lowry Simpson has cared for women as a midwife since 1993 in a freestanding birth center, an in-hospital birth center, and in a traditional obstetrical setting.
Board certified by the American College of Nurse Midwifery, Ms. Lowry received her nursing and midwifery education in Bebington, England, before marrying and relocating to Rochester. Her clinical interests include routine obstetrical care, adolescent and routine gynecology, family planning, and menopausal management.
She enjoys cooking Jamaican cuisine, interacting with people of different cultures, volunteering for charity organizations, and spending time with family.
