Our Physicians

Dr. Michael JordanMichael Jordan, MD

“One of the rewards of my profession is having college students return to me for advice and guidance, patients who I have followed since their birth.”

Dr. Jordan’s exposure in medical school to influential neonatologists and pediatricians, including a one-year working relationship with well-known Iranian-American chief of pediatrics Mohsen Ziai, led him to the care of children.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Jordan graduated cum laude from Northern Michigan University and earned his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his pediatrics internship and residency at the University of Rochester, where he also served as pediatric chief resident. He serves as Medical Director for the Rochester General Medical Group Child Health Division, and is Chairman of the Quality and Health Information Committee. Dr. Jordan has worked in child abuse and neglect since the ‘90s.

He coaches baseball, watches his children play hockey and soccer, and describes his ideal day as climbing a high peak in the Adirondacks or canoeing in the wilderness.

Dr. Caryl BjorsethCaryl Bjorseth, MD

“The best part of my job is teaching new parents about their babies...listening to all their questions and excitement over their new arrival.”

When Dr. Bjorseth was 7, her brother was born with a congential heart defect. That’s when she knew she wanted to become a doctor. With her father’s encouragement, her dream became a reality.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Bjorseth earned her medical degree from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines, then completed her residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she received a Resident Teaching Award. She spent an additional fellowship year in ambulatory pediatrics at Cooper Hospital-University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. She has a special interest in pediatric dermatology.

When not working, she likes to canoe, camp, ski, golf and attend her children’s sporting events.

Dr. Claire StutzmanClaire P. Stutzman, DO

“I became a pediatrician because I have always loved children and science, and this is a great way to combine the two. I also get lots of hugs and kisses from my patients – they give me a thrill every time!”

Dr. Claire Stutzman joined the Wayne Medical Group in the summer of 2008, after completing her pediatric residency at Albany Medical Center Children's Hospital in Albany, New York.

Raised in Rochester, she earned her bachelor's degree at The College of William and Mary, and her Medical Degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Her medical interests include rural health care delivery, asthma, adolescent medicine, and preventive care.

Outside the office, she enjoys taking her puppy to the park, playing the Wii, going to the movies, and spending time at her Keuka Lake cottage with family and friends.
