About Us
Rochester General Hospital's proud history of volunteer services began in 1918, and continues strongly to date. From the beginning until today, volunteers have given their time and talent to Rochester General Hospital for 90 years. This is truly a Rochester tradition in compassionate care and service.
Today, the Department of Volunteer Services has a growing number of volunteer opportunities to fit into almost any schedule - and something to challenge every volunteer. Our volunteers provide service and support in programs throughout Rochester General Hospital and its many offsite locations.
In 2009, 584 volunteers contributed almost 50,000 hours, serving 75 departments at Rochester General and its offsite affiliated locations.
