Visiting Hours
Patient Information
Friends and relatives who want to check on your condition may call Patient Information at (585) 922-4528.
Visitors
Your guests are welcome at Rochester General. We believe that the support of family and friends is vital to your recovery. Yet, because your rest is also important, we suggest that you have no more than two visitors at one time. Visitors should call Patient Information to find out whether you or your doctor have placed any restrictions on visitors. Because children tend to pick up and carry infection more readily than adults, children under the age of 14 are not encouraged to visit patient floors. However, exceptions are made in some circumstances. If you’d like to have children visit you, discuss it with your nurse so that permission may be left at the Information Desk before the visit.
Because your diet is often considered part of your treatment plan, visitors may not bring food to you unless they’ve cleared it with your physician or nurse.
