Surgical Oncology

Surgical Oncology is the surgical arm of the nationally recognized Lipson Cancer Center.

Surgical Oncology encompasses a multi-disciplinary effort involving cancer treatment, clinical cancer research, and applied and basic laboratory investigations related to the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of malignant solid tumors.  Members of the Surgical Oncology program have developed clinical research protocols in the use of preoperative chemotherapy and radiation therapy, prior to definitive oncologic surgery.
