Ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery are performed on-site at Rochester General Hospital (RGH) in Rochester, New York. Common ENT Surgeries

The following procedures are routinely performed on both children and adults, at Rochester General Hospital's ENT Surgery Center:

  • Ear Surgery – Most ear surgeries are performed to address hearing impairment and hearing loss. Common procedures include a stapedectomy, tympanoplasty, and cochlear implants.
     
  • Nose or Nasal Surgery – Nose surgery often aims to correct sinus problems which can be caused by conditions such as sinitus. Nose surgery is also an option for deviated septums and chronic congestion.
     
  • Throat Surgery – Typically, throat surgery helps correct conditions that effect the body's immune system. Common throat surgeries include removal of the tonsils (tonsillectomy) and adenoids (adenoidectomy).
