About the Rochester General Division of General Surgery
The Rochester General Division of General Surgery is a group of surgeons who are committed to providing compassionate, superior patient care, while offering state-of-the-art technology for a broad spectrum surgical procedures.
Our general surgeons are specially trained to diagnose and provide care for conditions affecting almost any area of the body, such as:
- Head and neck
- Breast
- Abdomen (stomach)
- Arms and legs
- Internal systems, such as gastrointestinal (colon & rectum), vascular (veins), and endocrine (thyroid / parathyroid) systems
General surgeons at Rochester General Hospital also perform diagnostic tests such as endoscopy for examining internal organs. The general surgeons may work with or refer patients to members of our specialty surgical departments to ensure the best treatment program for each patient.
