Rochester General Hospital Celebrates 2011 National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week: April 10th - 16th

April 7, 2011

Volunteer workers at RGH

As the nation celebrates its millions of volunteers, Rochester General Hospital would like to recognize the contribution, dedication, and presence of its volunteers. We could not achieve our commitment to the community of improving people’s health without you!

Your presence at our main entrances to greet, escort, and wheelchair transport people to wherever they need to go is invaluable. Your compassion and empathy shown in countless ways: holding someone’s hand and listening in the emergency departments, offering books and magazines to patients in their rooms, delivering mail, emails and flowers, sitting with a patient without family and friends, or serving tea and refreshments at the hospital’s afternoon tea session are tremendous. Your enthusiasm to go above and beyond, willingness to learn, passion for making a difference, and attentiveness to listen to and help anyone in need are inspiring and motivating.

Thank you!
