Peter Kouides MD Recognized For Physician Excellence
Annual Award Presented By Rochester General Health System
Peter A. Kouides, MD an attending physician at Rochester General Hospital's Lipson Cancer Center and Medical and Research Director / Mary M. Gooley Hemophilia Center, has been awarded the 2010 Father George Norton Award for Physician Excellence. The award was presented to Dr. Kouides by Rochester General Health System president and CEO Mark Clement.
Dr. Kouides was among more than a dozen Rochester General Hospital physicians nominated for the annual award, honoring those who touch the lives of patients and the community. Nominations are submitted by the health system's nurses, social workers, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, housekeepers, volunteers, students, patients and fellow medical colleagues.
The award is named in memory of Father George Norton who served as Director of Pastoral Services at ViaHealth for more than two decades until his death in 2004.
Dr. Kouides is a resident of Penfield.
