First Baby '2010 Born at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

Jocelyn Eve Kennedy, daughter of Jeffrey Kennedy and Melissa Smith of Newark, was the first baby born in 2010 at the Birthing and Women's Care Unit at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Jocelyn was delivered on January 1st at 8:40 am by certified nurse midwife, Kay Hauseman (C-N-M). She weighed 5 lbs and 15 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long at birth. Jocelyn joins three older brothers and two sisters - Matthew, Christian, Jacob, Janelle and Jade.

She and her parents were presented with a large stocking made by the Volunteer Department and a gift basket from the nurses and team members at the Hospital.
