Assemblyman Bob Oaks and Mayor Blandino Deliver Hospital - Nursing Home Week Proclamations

Newark-Wayne Hospital/DeMay Living Center on Friday, May 14th

In celebration of National Hospital and Nursing Home Week, Assemblyman Bob Oaks and Mayor Peter Blandino delivered Proclamations to the Team Members at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center today, Friday, May 14th. National Hospital Week celebrates the history, technology and dedicated professionals who care for patients in hospitals 24 days a week, 365 days a year. It has been celebrated since 1921 in the United States.

National Nursing Home Week is a community outreach to familiarize the public with the services nursing homes provide for our elderly and disabled citizens. The Team Members at both Newark-Wayne and DeMay have been dedicated to caring for the people living in Wayne and the surrounding counties since 1957.
