Robert W. Biernbaum D.O. Appointed Chief of Emergency Medicine at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

Robert W. Biernbaum, D.O., a board-certified Emergency Physician, has been appointed Chief of Emergency Medicine at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, an affiliate of Rochester General Hospital. As Chief of Emergency Medicine, he will oversee the medical services for 20,000 patients requiring emergency care annually and will be instrumental in developing and overseeing the strategic plan for the Emergency Services at Newark-Wayne.

Previously, Dr. Biernbaum worked at Unity Hospital-Unity Health System, where he was Chair of Emergency Medicine and Director of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology and serves on the board of the Foundation for Osteopathic Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Biernbaum earned his Medical Degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency training and was Chief Resident at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, M.I. He also earned a Masterメs Degree in Epidemiology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.
