Newark-Wayne Hospital Auxiliary to Sponsor Annual "Tree of Lights" Ceremony on December 1st

(10/23/09)

Sponsor a Light in Honor or Memory of a Loved One

The Holiday Season is fast approaching.  It is the time of year for being thankful, for remembering, and taking part in holiday traditions. It is also a time for honoring and remembering our loved ones – those who are with us and those who have passed away but who continue to touch our lives.

You are invited to join the Newark-Wayne Auxiliary for the annual “Tree of Lights” ceremony in memory and honor of our loved ones on Monday, December 7th at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Lobby of the Hospital. Each light on the hospital’s holiday tree, as well as the tree in the DeMay Living Center, will represent a gift in honor or memory of someone special.

To sponsor a light, please send the name of the person to be honored or remembered, along with the name and address of the person to receive the acknowledgement card to: Tree of Lights, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Auxiliary, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, PO Box 111, Newark, NY  14513. Please be sure to include a donation for each individual being honored - $10 at gold level or $5 at silver level. Checks may be made payable to NWCH Auxiliary. Donations will be accepted throughout the holiday season but must be received by November 20th to be included in the program book.

The proceeds from the Tree of Lights donations will be used by the Auxiliary to support the programs and services of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and of DeMay Living Center. The Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Auxiliary’s members work to support the hospital through fund-raising projects, and as advocates and volunteers for the hospital. Your generosity helps to makes this possible.

This year the “Tree of Lights” event is being chaired by Auxilians, Jan Lefebvre, Becky Short, Cheryl DeMeyers, Carole Nary and Helen Ceravolo.
