Gerry Gacioch MD Recognized For Physician Excellence

ANNUAL AWARD PRESENTED AT ROCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gerry Gacioch MD, Division Head of Cardiology at Rochester General Hospital, has been awarded the 2009 Father George Norton Award for Physician Excellence. The award was presented by Rochester General Health System CEO Mark Clement at a ceremony earlier this month.
Dr. Gacioch was among nine Rochester General Physicians nominated for the annual award, honoring those who touch the lives of patients and the community. Nominations are submitted by nurses, social workers, Nurse Practioners, Physician Assistants, housekeepers, volunteers, students, patients and fellow medical colleagues.
The award is named in memory of Father George Norton who served as Director of Pastoral Services at RGHS for more than two decades until his death in 2004.
Dr. Gacioch is a resident of Fairport.
