Wayne County Dairy Princess Visits First June Baby Born During National Dairy Month
(6/2/09)
In observance of National Dairy Month the Wayne County Dairy Princess, Sarah Andrew, visited the first baby born in June at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and presented her with a gift basket of dairy-themed gifts. Baby, Aletheia Adelaine Reed, daughter of Vanessa and Nathan Reed, from Newark, was born on June 1st, 2009 at Newark-Wayne.
"Medical experts advise all ages to get plenty of exercise and to have a healthy balanced diet," said Sarah. "This includes getting three servings of dairy products a day for calcium and other important nutrients. For adults looking for a balanced diet low in fat, dairy products made with low-fat or skim milk are advised. This could include low-fat milk, cheese, or yogurt."
Sarah will be a senior at Finger Lakes Community College. She plans to transfer to Cornell University or SUNY Delhi to study Animal Medicine. She is the daughter of Colleen and George Andrew of El-Vi Farms of Newark.
