Cheryl Sheridan Appointed Chief Nursing Officer at Rochester General Health System

Cheryl Sheridan, Chief Nursing OfficerCheryl Sheridan, RN, Acting Chief Nursing Officer for Rochester General Hospital and its Health System has been appointed Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services at Rochester General Hospital and Chief Nursing Officer for the Rochester General Health System.

Cheryl brings to this role more than 30 years of progressive nursing and nursing leadership experience inside and outside of Rochester General Health System. Prior to assuming the Acting Chief Nursing Officer role, Cheryl served as Nursing Director for the Behavioral Health Network where she provided leadership for behavioral health acute services inclusive of two inpatient adult psychiatric units and psychiatric emergency departments. She was also responsible for oversight of quality and standards compliance for Behavioral Health Services across the continuum. Cheryl also served as Nurse Manager for Dialysis, Adult and Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Units and a Medical Pulmonary Step Down Unit. 

Cheryl received her RN from Alfred State College and Nazareth College of Rochester and her Masters in Public Administration from State University of New York College at Brockport.
