New Orthopaedic/Sports Medicine Practice at Newark-Wayne Hospital Community Hospital
Rochester General Wayne Medical Group and Newark-Wayne Community Hospital are proud to announce the opening of a new Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine practice located in the Medical Office Building at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. The address is 1204 Driving Park Avenue in Newark.
André Johnson, MD will re-locate from his current location in Williamson to the new practice in Newark. Carie Dobbs, PA-C will assist Dr. Johnson at the new orthopaedic practice.
Fellowship trained at the Nirschl Sports Medicine Center and Georgetown University, a world-leading center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Johnson specializes in the comprehensive medical and surgical care of the musculoskeletal system including: the latest treatments for sports injuries and their prevention; arthroscopic shoulder, elbow, hip and knee surgery; cartilage restoration; and joint reconstruction.
He has served as team physician for George Mason University (NCAA Division I) in Fairfax, Va., Yorktown High School in Arlington, Va., and most recently for Newark High School.
Dr. Johnson earned his Medical Degree at Albany Medical College and completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.
