Harkness and Prindle Honored as "Employees of the Year"
Paul Harkness from the Emergency Department (ED) and Amy Prindle from Adult Day Care, a DeMay Living Center program, were elected "Employees of the Year" for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center (ViaHealth of Wayne) for 2007 by their fellow staff members. They became candidates for this honor after being selected as "Working Proud" honorees in 2007. Fourteen ViaHealth of Wayne staff members were honored as "Working Proud" winners in 2007. The "Working Proud" award honors staff members who continually exhibit exemplary behavior and a positive attitude in their interactions with their patients, residents and co-workers.
Paul Harkness is a Medical Assistant in the ED and has worked at ViaHealth of Wayne for two years. Amy Prindle is a Program Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant in Adult Day Care. She has worked at ViaHealth of Wayne for close to 20 years.
"Amy and Paul are so deserving of this award," said Annette Leahy, President of ViaHealth of Wayne. "They are role models for everyone in our organization. They are always there for their patients, residents and co-workers. I am so pleased to be able to honor them as our Employees of the Year."
Paul Harkness is from Red Creek and Amy Prindle is from Palmyra.
