Assemblyman Oaks Provides Funding to Enhance Access to Newark-Wayne's Lobby

To provide easier access for patients and visitors, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital recently installed automatic doors at the Main Lobby entrance of the Hospital through $10,000 in funding secured by Assemblyman Robert Oaks.ᅠ The new doors replaced manual entrance doors.
"We are so appreciative of Assemblyman Oaks' on-going support of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center," said Annette Leahy, President of ViaHealth of Wayne.ᅠ "We needed to make this entrance more accessible for all of the patients and visitors who utilize our facilities.ᅠ Assemblyman Oaks' support provided the funds required to complete this project which has significantly enhanced our facility."
In addition to the funds secured by Assemblyman Oaks, the Order of the Eastern Star, AMITIE Chapter 447 from Newark donated $5,000 towards the project in 2005.
