Application Process

Why should you join our residency program?

To find the answer, you need to ask yourself a few questions:

  1. Am I interested in a community-based obstetrics and gynecology residency program?

  2. Am I interested in developing leadership skills and developing relationships through working as a team with certified nurse midwives, physician assistants and nurse practitioners?

  3. Do I want to develop excellent surgical skills and participate in performing surgery with leading-edge technology?

Rochester General Hospital offers all of this and more. Our program places great emphasis on practicing evidence-based medicine and our goal is to help you develop a habit of life-long learning, which is necessary for a successful career.

Our program invites applications from individuals with the following qualifications:

  1. Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee in Medical Education (LCME).

  2. Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

  3. Graduates of medical schools outside of the United States and Canada who have received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
