" My experience as a resident at RGH OBGYN department could be described as the most constructive four years of my early professional life. The program is very well balanced with emphasis on the primary care, minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, urogynecology and general obstetrics. You get a good share of high-risk obstetrics as residents play a pivotal role in making management decisions for these patients.  As a fellow at Baylor College of Medicine, I took faculty call at Harris county hospital which delivers more than 6000 deliveries a year, including high-risk referral patients. I felt confident from the day one to take care of these patients as the single staff on-call with 4 residents. Although, the program is not a research engine for OBGYN, it is possible to find a very good mentor and pursue a publishable project that could have significant impact on practice. The program gives plenty of opportunities to learn administrative skills. In the end, you will graduate from the program as a confidant budding OBGYN"
