Rochester General Health System (RGHS) comprises several affiliated organizations that have been providing a continuum of high quality health care services to residents of greater Rochester and surrounding regions for more than 150 years. Rochester General Hospital, a 528-bed tertiary care facility, serves as the hub, or flagship of the system.

Rochester General is home to the Rochester Heart Institute, independently recognized nine times as one of the nation's Top 100 Cardiac centers. RHI also is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic, widely recognized as the top Cardiac hospital in the United States, and has access to leading edge training, technology and research.

Rochester General Health System has grown to become the fifth largest employer in the greater Rochester region and, as such, is a significant factor in the local economy.
