Infectious Disease

RGHRI researchers are working to find treatments for patients with diseases caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Our goal is to help develop improved treatment therapies, principally for patients whose diseases that have grown resistant to antibiotics and for patients with weakened immune systems.

Immunology
RGHRI researchers are developing new vaccines for preventing infections. Our work includes new approaches to treatment of infectious, autoimmune, rheumatic and allergen disorders.

Center for Cardiovascular Disease

RGHRI is committed to researching solutions for patients who have diseases of the heart and blood vessels, including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm abnormalities, pulmonary hypertension, valvular heart disease, vascular disease, aortic disease, carotid artery disease and infections of the heart. With their proficiency and ground-breaking methods, our researchers continue to work to improve treatment for cardiovascular diseases. Learn more...

Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders

Cancer
cells - researchClinical research has been instrumental in the incredible advancements in cancer treatment over the decades. RGHRI has designed clinical trials to help discover new ways to find and diagnose cancer, prevent cancer and manage symptoms of cancer or its treatment. Our researchers are testing new drugs and vaccines, techniques for surgery and radiation therapy and combinations of treatments.

Blood Disorders
RGHRI's groundbreaking research on blood disorders has allowed us to use our most current findings to offer sophisticated chemotherapy and curative bone marrow transplants. With expertise in the basic and clinical sciences, our researchers are exploring the basic origins of blood diseases and in turn transforming our findings into the most advanced diagnostic and treatment strategies available today.

Center for Biotechnology, Bioengineering & Imaging Science

Biotechnology
vaccine - researchRGHRI is active in developing promising applications to problems and issues in the realm of biotechnology. We are currently looking at a wide range of procedures for modifying living organisms according to human purposes.

Bioengineering
Our research in bioengineering is geared towards higher systems approach for interfacing with and utilizing living things. Our goal is to provide engineering science and clinical technology to reduce the impact of disease on individuals.

Imaging Science
RGHRI is also conducting clinical, translational and basic imaging research in the fields of ultrasound, radiology and imaging sciences, nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, the interventional radiology laboratory and molecular and cellular imaging.
