Center for Clinical Research / Clinical Trials
At Rochester General, our experienced, caring healthcare providers are passionate about helping patients play a more hopeful, active role in their care. The Center for Clinical Research team consists of:
- Physicians who work in general medical / surgical specialties throughout the hospital (i.e., cardiac, cancer, etc.)
- A full-time nurse practitioner who specializes in critical care, surgery and cardiac (drug, device) research
- A registered nurse with medical nursing experience and extensive knowledge in cardiac clinical research
- A registered nurse who has 3 years of clinical research experience at Rochester General Hospital
Areas of Research
Tia DeRosa, RN, MSN, AACNP
Director, Center for Clinical Research
Tia received her associates degree in Nursing from Monroe Community College. She completed her Bachelors degree in Nursing at Brockport State University and continued on to receive her masters as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Rochester.
Tia has been employed at Rochester General for the last 24 years. She has worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit, the Emergency Department as well as step-down units. Her last seventeen years she has been conducting research at Rochester General Hospital. Since 2000 she has assumed the role of Director for The Center for Clinical research. She has been involved in over 80 major clinical trials as a coordinator and Sub-Investigator, in a number of therapeutic areas including Critical Care, Trauma, Surgery, Cardiology, Immunology, Hematology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Urology and Primary Care. These drug and device trials involve adult and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Patricia Noll, RN, BSN
Clinical Research Nurse
Patty graduated with a BSN from Niagara University. While on the RGH campus she had worked 14 years in the MICU and over the last 14 years has been doing clinical research, primarily within the Cardiology field including Pharmacologic, Device and Registry trials.
Linda Link, RN, BSN
Clinical Research Nurse / Coordinator
Linda is a graduate of Monroe Community College with an Associates of Science in Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Robert's Wesleyan College (Rochester, NY). Linda has been an employee of Rochester General Hospital for 5 years. She has experience as a staff nurse on the Cardiac Cath Lab unit as a Case Manager/Community Health Nurse with ILS, and as a Clinical Research Nurse/Coordinator in RGH's Center for Clinical Research. She has 15 years experience as a Workplace Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross and 12 years volunteer experience with Union Hill Fire Dept Ambulance. Linda is also a member of the Genesee Valley Nurses Association (GVNA).
