Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are from 11:30 am - 8:30 pm. If you have a friend or family member who has been admitted to one of the areas listed below, please note the visiting hours.

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Spouse/Significant Other - Unlimited
Siblings 11:30 am - 8:30 pm (with adult supervision)
Children under 15 limited to siblings when the baby is in the room.
Children under 15 can visit a patient with doctor and nursing staff authorization.

Also, friends and family have the option of sending a patient an email message or greeting using our Email a Newark Wayne Community Hospital Patient application. Please note: messages sent using this application are not secure. Please do not include personal or confidential information. The emails are delivered by volunteers at the hospital.
Cafeteria/Snack Bar
The hospital's Cafeteria is located on the Lower Level and is open Mon.-Fri. 11:00 am - 1:30 pm.
The Snack Bar, in the main lobby is open Mon. - Fri. 7:00 am - 8:00 pm, and Sat. and Sun. 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Vending machines, located in the Emergency Department Lobby, 2-South and on the 2-West unit.
Gift Shops
DeMay Living Center Gift Shop - The shop, located in the DeMay Living Center Lobby, is open from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm on weekdays, offering a small assortment of gift and snack items.
The Mulberry Tree Gift Shop offers a selection of magazines, fresh flowers, cards and gift items. Located in the main lobby, the gift shop is staffed by volunteers and members of the Newark-Wayne Auxiliary. Gift Shop hours are Mon. - Fri. 9:30 am - 8:00 pm. Weekend hours are varied.
