Enabling Projects for Major Modernization
In preparation for the Major Modernization Project, several other “enabling projects” were completed as plans were made over the last two years.
Last fall, “Friends for the Day,” DeMay Living Center’s Adult Day Health Care Program, moved to its new facility on the Newark-Wayne Campus. This move enabled the award-winning Friends for the Day program to offer services to residents who have been on a waiting list, some for as long as two years.
In addition, the Radiology Department acquired a new state-of-the-art Hologic Selenia Dimensions Digital Mammography unit that was installed in a new suite. Both the Adult Day Health Care facility and the new Mammography Suite were part of the Major Modernization Project in preparation for the new Emergency Department construction.
