Are You Interested in a Health Professions Career?
Western New York Rural Area Health Education Center is partnering with Newark-Wayne Community Hospital to host a one-day camp for middle and high school students who are interested in a career in health care on July 27, 2011. Camp MedQuest introduces you to many healthcare areas and teaches you the skills and education that are required to become a health professional.
You will have the opportunity to learn about the jobs of various professionals and see how the each of the specialty areas work together as a team to provide outstanding care and service to our patients. Specialty areas you can learn about include:
- Rehab Services (PT, OT, and Speech Therapy)
- Dietary & Nutrition
- Radiology
- Therapeutic Recreation
- Telemedicine
- Cardiac Rehab
- Emergency Medicine (ER, EMS)
- Volunteer Services
- Respiratory Services
- Nursing
If you have other professional interests that are not included on the list above, please let us know on your registration form. Every effort will be made to accomodate your choices at camp. Your interest and ideas will help make this camp a success!
Who can register?
Camp MedQuest is open to students entering 9th through 12th grade.
Registration & Fees
To register for Camp MedQuest, please print and complete the brochure and mail with your registration fee of $25 to:

Registration deadline is July 20, 2011.
Your registration fee includes Camp MedQuest activities, lunch, snacks and a t-shirt. Space is limited to the first 20 students, so register early!
