About the New Lab Draw Center at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
The Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Lab Draw Center has a new (temporary) "home" for the next two years as a new Emergency Department is built and Outpatient Services undergo major renovation. Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is breaking ground for a $13 million Major Modernization Project. The move of the Lab Draw Center was a necessary "enabling project" to accomodate the new layout of the first floor of the Hospital. The Major Modernization Project will include a new Endoscopy Suite and creation of a Patient Access Center to house Central Registration, Pre-admission Testing and the permanent Lab Draw Center and patient reception area.
Until its permanent space is ready, we've made the new Lab Draw Center a more comfortable area for our patients. The new area features private registration booths, is conveniently located in the main cooridor of the Hospital, and has a fresh, new look.
How to Get to the Lab Draw Center
Lab patients should now park and enter at the Main Entrance of the Hospital. Patients requiring handicap parking (only) should park on the north (back) side of the Hospital near Outpatient Services Entrance.
The new Lab Draw Center is now located in the former Friends for the Day Program area, across from Registration / Admitting in the main cooridor of the Hospital.
