Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
At Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, our Intensive Care Unit is staffed by highly-trained registered nurses licensed by the State of New York. Each is trained in CPR, coronary care and advanced coronary life support. Many have national certification in critical care. Providing critical care 24 hours a day, they are prepared to treat a variety of acute illnesses using today’s technology.
Telemetry
Our Telemetry, or ambulatory cardiac monitoring unit is often your next stop after Intensive Care or routine surgery. Tending to those needing further observation, but who are no longer at immediate risk. The unit has a state-of-the-art digital telemetry monitoring system, providing physicians and nurses with up-to-the-minute information when they aren’t at your bedside.
