Nutritional Counseling

Outpatient nutritional counseling services, provided by a registered dietitian, are available and are covered by several health insurance companies with a physician’s referral. People with heart disease, high blood cholesterol or blood pressure, kidney disease, weight control problems, diabetes, pregnancy, pediatric nutrition requirements and others can benefit from dietary counseling.

The dietitian assists individuals in developing healthy eating habits while taking into account particular dietary requirements, lifestyle and food preferences. Menu planning, how to read and understand food labels, how to incorporate restaurant and special occasion eating into your diet, and other topics are addressed through dietary counseling.

Services are available by appointment on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Appointments are required, but flexible scheduling is available for those needing early morning or evening appointments.
