Patient Care Feedback / Complaints

It is the goal of Rochester General Hospital to provide high quality care with compassion.  We appreciate any comments, feedback or suggestions you may have for us regarding your care and service provided. You may send patient concerns, compliments or complaints securely using our online patient feedback form or contact our Patient Relations Coordinator at (585) 922-2050. 

If you have a complaint, regardless of whether you have first used the internal hospital complaint process or not, you may lodge a complaint directly to the New York State Department of Health by calling their complaint hotline at 1-800-804-5447 (NYS Department of Health, Centralized Hospital Intake Program, 433 River Street, 6th floor, Troy, New York 12180) or with The Joint Commission at 1-800-994-6610.

Birth/Death Certificates

Monroe County Birth and Death Certificates are available from the County Clerk's Office of Vital Records. Wayne County requests go to Medical Records above.

Ask a Nurse

We can provide information on nearly any health concern, including specific diseases and conditions, emotional or mental health issues, and information on how to lead a healthy lifestyle including diet, exercise, and stress management. This service is available to people who live in the seven-county Rochester, NY area only.

The Stabins Wellness Information Center, located in the Werner Medical Library at Rochester General Hospital, provides information on medical conditions or health concerns. This library service is available to people who live in the seven-county Rochester, NY area only.
