RGHS Expands Vascular Surgery Access
Rochester General is the region’s highest-volume vascular surgery hospital, where more than 2,000 procedures are performed each year by highly experienced vascular surgical specialists – a superbly trained team known nationwide for their superior outcomes. Now that team has expanded its services to Wayne County, where Jeffrey Rhodes, MD, FACS, is performing procedures at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital (NWCH) one Friday per month.
As the medical director of the Vein Care Center of Rochester, Dr. Rhodes has access to leading edge technology and advanced treatment options for arterial, venous and peripheral vascular disorders. His services include minimally invasive vascular surgery, peripheral vascular disease, state-of-the-art treatment of varicose and spider veins, dialysis access, wound care and limb salvage techniques.
Dr. Rhodes earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and completed an internship and residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and a Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. You can reach the NWCH Vascular Surgery team at 315.359.2661.
Additionally, the Rochester General Hospital offices of the RGHS Vascular Surgery team are preparing to go live on the Care Connect electronic medical record (EMR) system. Care Connect, a comprehensive EMR network, will ultimately link all patient data in the health system, streamlining patient care. The Vascular Surgery team is currently completing its collection of hard-copy patient files from independent practices and integrating that data into the EMR.
