RGHS and Unity Pursuing Formal Partnership
In April RGHS and Unity Health System agreed to pursue a formal partnership, with the potential to create an integrated health care delivery system designed to improve quality and lower costs for area patients.
“Health care is undergoing profound change, as unprecedented, sweeping reforms challenge providers to serve a wider range of patients with higher quality and greater value,” said Mark Clement, RGHS President and CEO. “We are excited to work with Unity in developing a partnership that will enable our two systems to meet this demand, by forming a model delivery system of the future to serve our community’s long-term needs.”
RGHS and Unity will work closely together in the coming months to develop and finalize plans, which could then take up to two years to gain government approvals. Look for additional details as they become available.
