Consumer Information

Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing wants all current and prospective students to be fully aware of the policies and procedures that are in effect during your tenure in the program.  Academic policies and procedures can be found in both the paper and online versions of the Student Handbook.  Financial policies and procedures are compiled here:

  • Individual financial appointment required prior to enrollment:

All students, whether entering in August or January, are required to meet individually with IGHSPN's Financial Aid Advisor to review program costs; to determine your federal and NYS financial aid eligibility, if you choose to apply; to discuss other grants you may be eligible to apply for; to calculate the final amount, if any, that you will owe for tuition and fees, and to discuss your payment options, such as self-pay, Federal Direct Student and Parent Loans, etc.

  • Gainful Employment information:

Under construction - check back in a few weeks.

  • Distribution of IRS Form 1098-T to calculate federal and NYS tax credits

IGHSPN is required to produce and distribute an IRS Form 1098-T to report to you and to the IRS the amount of tuition and applicable fees you were charged during the previous calendar year, as well as the total amount of grants that were processed through IGH for you.  We are required to distribute them by January 31 each year.  Our procedure is to put them in student mail files for students currently enrolled, and to mail them to all other students.  Please be sure to notify us of any change of address after you leave IGHSPN so that your 1098-T form reaches you promptly.  What is the purpose of the 1098-T?  The differene between your charges and your grants, if any, is used to calculate any education tax credit you may be eligible for on your federal and NYS tax returns.  Go to www.IRS.gov for more information.
