In August, a regulation that requires seasonal influenza vaccination for all healthcare personnel directly involved in patient care was approved by the New York State Department of Health. New York State also issued a mandatory requirement for healthcare personnel to be vaccinated for the Novel H1N1 influenza.
In response to that directive, RGHS developed and distributed a policy that requires all of our team members to be vaccinated for seasonal flu and Novel H1N1 influenza. This policy has been put in place to protect your health and those under our care - our patients, residents, participants and clients.
To facilitate the administration of the vaccines, numerous vaccine clinics have been and will continue to be scheduled across the system, subject to vaccine availability.
