Jara Johnson, DO joined the Behavioral Pediatrics Program at Rochester General Health System in 2013. She earned her medical degree at the University of New England, then went on to complete both her pediatric residency training and a subsequent fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at the University of Rochester. Dr. Johnson completed an additional fellowship in Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) at the University of Rochester and is currently completing a Masters in Public Health. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics and board-eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
Dr. Johnson's professional interests include positive parenting and self-regulation, as well as evaluation of complex developmental and behavioral presentations including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety and behavioral dysregulation. She has a particular interest in children age 5 and under, though her scope is not limited to this age group.
