We accept most insurance plans, although some require a referral when making an appointment. Referrals may be obtained from your primary care physician. Fees are on a sliding scale based on financial need.
About the Gynecology Care Center for Women with Disabilities
We offer accessible health services in a comfortable and respectful environment. Our dedicated experts work as a team to bring a high level of awareness, sensitivity and skill to the center, which caters to women with cognitive, neurological and physical disabilities. Appointments last about an hour so that every patient gets the time and resources she needs for the best possible care.
With accomodations such as adjustable beds and a closely integrated relationship with dentists and other medical providers, we are committed to removing barriers to physical wellness.

Paul Cabral, MD
Already fluent in English and Portuguese, Dr. Paul Cabral committed himself to learning Spanish to better serve his growing patient population.
Board certified in obstetrics/gynecology, family practice and palliative care, Dr. Cabral earned his medical degree at Boston University and completed residencies in OB/GYN and family practice at the University of Rochester, where he is an Assistant Clinical Instructor. Special interests include advanced laparoscopic /robotic surgery, endometriosis and chronic pain, and high risk obstetrics. He offers resident teaching in OB/GYN, family medicine, and palliative care and has been involved in ongoing research on smoking cessation during pregnancy.
Patricia Newcomb, MD
Dr. Patricia Newcomb is committed to the vision of access to quality care for all women.
Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Newcomb earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and completed her residency through the Rochester General Hospital OB/GYN Residency Program, where she is associate director. She is assistant professor of OB/GYN at the University of Rochester and assistant professorin Biomedical Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She initiated the first Centering Pregnancy Program in Rochester at The Women’s Center at Alexander Park, and received the March of Dimes Leader in Community Health Award in 2005.
Dr. Newcomb’s research and clinical interests include the fibroid uterus, prevention of birth defects, and medical education. She has presented and/or published in all of these areas.She enjoys spending time with her family, has served in community health outreach in the Dominican Republic, and speaks basic medical Spanish.
Anne-Marie Blanchard, RPA-C
Dedicated to the care ofwomen in urban environments, including those who speak Spanish, Anne-Marie Blanchard has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Ms. Blanchard has clinical interests in routine gynecology and obstetric care, family planning, and the Centering Pregnancy Program.
She enjoys playing sports, traveling on medical missions (including a recent trip to Haiti), and spending time with her husband and five children.
