Gynecology & Obstetrics (OB/GYN)
It's recommended that women of all ages should schedule gynecological wellness exams annually with a gynecologist for preventive care. During the annual gynecological exam, your Rochester General gynecologist will perform a pap smear to check for any abnormalities and also give general counsel in regards to birth control, cervical cancer screenings, menstrual problems, and other various conditions. Should your doctor find any abnormalities or indicate a cause for concern based on your health history, you may be sent for a cervical cancer screening, also known as a colposcopy, or breast cancer screening.
To help develop and maintain a lifetime of good health and well being, we offer:
- Adult and adolescent gynecological annual exams
- Pre-conception counseling
- Family planning / infertility care
