Superior, compassionate neurosurgical care.
In a neurosurgery consultation with specialists from the Department of Neurology and backed by a team of highly skilled neuropathologists and neuroradiologists, we diagnose and treat patients with a full range of complex nervous system disorders and injuries affecting the brain, spine and nerves, including:
- Autonomic nervous system disorders
- Brain tumors, both in and around the brain
- Disorders of the extracranial and intracranial carotid and vertebral arteries
- Disorders and injuries of the spinal cord, meninges and spine
- Peripheral nerve disorders
- Pituitary gland disorders
Our neurology department provides the most advanced neurosurgery treatment options using state-of-the-art surgical technology, including microscopic and stereotactic equipment that works as a virtual GPS system using precise coordinates on the scalp and images of the brain to pinpoint areas deep within the brain. This neuro-navigational technology allows us to perform difficult procedures such as brain biopsies with extreme accuracy and remove tumors deep within the brain—some which may be too dangerous to complete with an open neurosurgery operation.
If you require neurosurgery for your treatment, our experienced neurology staff provides neurological intensive care, as well as intensive monitoring only, in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit. We will closely monitor your condition as you recover from your neurosurgery procedure, keeping your physician and family informed every step of the way to ensure you receive superior, compassionate care and the best possible outcome to preserve or restore your neurological function and quality of life.
