Cardiothoracic Surgery

Cardiothoracic surgery is a specialty consisting of the surgical treatment of congenital and acquired abnormalities of the heart and cardiovascular system, lungs and chest wall. The Sands-Constellation Heart Institute's Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rochester General Hospital is New York State’s fourth largest heart surgery program. In fact, our team of cardiothoracic surgeons performs over 1,200 surgeries each year.

In 2004, Rochester General Hospital became a Cleveland Clinic Heart Surgery Center.
