Tilt Table Test

An Upright Tilt Table Test (Tilt Test) is used to evaluate symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness and/or syncope (which is commonly experienced as fainting or passing out). Syncope often results from a rapid fall in blood pressure when moving lying or sitting position to a standing position. During the test, you lie on a table that can be moved (or tilted) to a nearly upright position while your symptoms, heart rate and blood pressure are continuously monitored for changes.
