About the Lipson Cancer Center
Rochester General Hospital's Dawn and Jacques Lipson MD Cancer Center is recognized as a leading regional provider of care for cancer and blood disorders. Radiation Oncology is additionally accredited by the American College of Radiology. Each of our Oncology and Hematology physicians is board certified in their specialty, and our facility is highly involved in education and clinical research. The Lipson Cancer Center encompasses all disciplines that contribute to the care of cancer and hematology patients. Our Cancer Care Team
Rochester General Hospital's team of cancer care experts includes oncologists, hematologists, pathologists, nurses, therapists, physicists, pharmacists, social workers and support staff. We work closely with you and your primary care physician, so that together, we can determine the most effective and appropriate care.
Providing for the physical and emotional needs of every patient, we also offer nutrition counseling, physical therapy, psychosocial assistance, pastoral care and home care. We also offer the area's only hemophilia center, the Mary M. Gooley Hemophilia Center, conveniently located at Rochester General.
A Comfortable, Private Setting
Our Center provides a comfortable, private setting for patients and their families. Parking is convenient in a separate parking lot only a few steps from the Center's entrance. A patient lounge offers a relaxing place to wait for treatment. And, both chemotherapy and radiation are available in one centralized location.
An on-site phlebotomist eliminates the need for patients to travel to a laboratory in another part of the hospital for blood tests. An expanded suite of examination rooms eliminates unnecessary delays to see medical professionals and gives patients, families and staff a place for counseling and treatment.
Our new satellite office at Linden Oaks Medical Campus provides an easily accessible, comfortable facility that is close to home for our patients in southeast Monroe County. Office visits with Medical and Radiation Oncologists, as well as treatments in a modern, state of the art infusion center are offered at the Linden Oaks office.
We Partner With You Against Cancer
