About the Continuing Day Treatment Program

The Continuing Day Treatment Program provides mental health services through a multidisciplinary approach for individuals in need of psychiatric care who need less than inpatient services to maintain or enhance current levels but more services than provided in traditional outpatient settings. Patients benefit from the structure of a daily program, symptom management, self esteem and skill development.  

Our Services

Assessment and Treatment Planning

• Calling or sending a referral form makes referral
   
• Group Therapy: Patients attend a variety of psychoeducational, psychodynamic, activity, and skill building groups to build coping skills, daily living skills, and develop readiness for rehabilitation activities, or to resume their previous level of functioning
   
• Individual Treatment: Individual sessions are available according to the patient's needs. Treatment and discharge planning is developed by the patient and their therapist.
  

Case Management

• Guidance and direction are provided to patients who may need assistance with obtaining housing, medical insurance coverage, and social agency referrals
   
• Advocacy and tangible services provided as needed
   
• Family/Couples Therapy and Work with Collateral
   
• Family, couples therapy, and involvement of collateral provided as needed
   

Medical History / Health Screening

• Done on each patient and reviewed by the nursing staff in conjunction with the consulting psychiatrist
   
• Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, monitoring for side effects, medication education, and symptom management training are provided by the staff psychiatrists with assistance by the nursing staff
