Inpatient Psychiatric Services
Rochester General Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Unit is a thirty bed acute inpatient psychiatric unit. The unit provides medical and psychiatric services to adults with a diagnosis of psychotic disorders, affective disorders, organic brain syndrome, and anxiety disorders with or without personality disorders and substance abuse problems.
Admissions occur from a variety of locations including home, emergency department, other units at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester Mental Health Center, Genesee Mental Health Center, and other community health care institutions and programs.
